About Roxy

Sixteen years and counting.

Roxy of Rox the Fox Hair, seated in her Kelowna salon

Hey, I'm Roxy.

I've been doing hair my whole life, at least it feels that way. It started with playing salon with my Gramma when I was barely tall enough to reach the chair. By the time I was eighteen, I had a plan: university, the safe route, the one I felt I was supposed to take. Three weeks before classes started, I changed my mind. I enrolled at MC College instead, and I never looked back.

That was 2010. Sixteen years later, I'm still here, still obsessed.

Blonde is where I live.

It's the most creative, most challenging part of colour, and somewhere along the way, it became the most satisfying. The process. The problem-solving. The transformation. I've spent years deepening my craft through continuing education with Wella, Redken, and Joico, and I lead every new client with a consultation because the best blonde always starts with an honest conversation about your hair, your history, and what's actually achievable.

What makes great colour? Blend. Shine. Tone. And the moment a client sees themselves in the mirror and recognizes exactly what they were hoping for.

When I'm not behind the chair, I'm probably reading something dark and twisty, working out, hiking, or hunting down really good food. Music is always on. Always.

And as for what I want you to know: I care about your hair. But I care about you, too. Client support is the reason I still love what I do. Creativity is the fuel, but people are the fire.

She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and provided expert advice on what would suit my hair type and face shape best.
